Enjoy the beautiful banks of the Loire, the last wild river in Europe

The Maine et Loire is rich with an exceptional cultural heritage, natural and preserved natural spaces and a renowned local gastronomy that will amaze you.

Its many treasures are unveiled with a choice of castles: the castle of Serrant, jewels of the Renaissance, that of Breze 16th century among the vineyards 10 km from Saumur, that of Plessis-Bourré 15th century, that of Brissac, the highest de France and of course, that of Saumur, majestically placed on the banks of the Loire … A detour is recommended to admire the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, one of the largest monastic cities inherited from the Middle Ages, registered since 2000 with UNESCO World Heritage along with the entire Loire Valley. Coming closer to Saumur, you will have the choice to discover villages as unusual as they are charming.

Turquant is a good example with its surprising tufa cliff, sometimes troglodyte dwellings, sometimes quarries… Nearby, Montsoreau and Candes-Saint-Martin, both labeled Most Beautiful Villages of France.

A stone’s throw from our hotel, on the shores of the Loire with its shining white walls and iridescent blue roofs, Saumur harbors its history to the rhythm of the river. Today, with its exceptional heritage, the international renown of its prestigious Cadre Noir school and its famous vineyards, Saumur is a surprising town.

With its many museums, armored vehicles, cavalry, mushroom, .. the churches of Saint-Pierre de Saumur and Notre-Dame de Dardilly, its 14th century castle, the cellars of Bouvet-Ladubay with its 8 km of galleries you can cycle to discover all the stages of winemaking as well as the banks of the Loire … There is really a whole host of activities…

With family, we cannot overstress the Saumur Forest Adventures Park 4.2 km away and the Zoo of Doue-la-Fontaine less than 20km away.
Lovers of golf will appreciate the Saumur course 5.7 km away.
From June to September, tourist lines are set up to allow tourists to reach the destination of tourist sites by public transport, ticket and information at the tourist office.
